251 Hellenic Airforce Hospital

“The Department of Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology of the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital has been at the forefront of minimally invasive and image-guided therapies since its establishment in 1992, working in close collaboration with all Medical and Surgical Departments of the Hospital in fulfillment of the healthcare and social mission of the Hellenic Air Force.

Over the years, our Department has continuously evolved by integrating state-of-the-art Interventional Radiology techniques and modern patient-centered therapies that are increasingly transforming contemporary medical practice. From advanced oncologic interventions and embolization therapies to complex vascular and neuroradiological procedures, our goal remains to provide safer, less invasive, and more effective treatment options that improve patient outcomes, reduce recovery times, optimize the utilization of operating theaters and hospital resources, and minimize the need for prolonged hospitalization.

Receiving the IASIOS Accreditation is a great honor for the entire Hellenic Air Force family. This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care, innovation, safety, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration. We are particularly proud that the advanced Interventional Radiology services offered by our Hospital continue to expand access to cutting-edge therapies for both military personnel and the wider community. We are sincerely grateful to IASIOS for acknowledging the dedication, expertise, and vision of our team.”
