A major milestone for our global community — MIOT Hospitals Private Limited in Chennai has become the first facility in India to be recognised as an IASIOS Accredited Centre.

This achievement confirms that the hospital’s interventional oncology service line meets the core criteria of the CIRSE Standards of Quality Assurance, supported by over 40 national and international societies.

We are pleased to announce the enrolment of three hospitals from the Parkway Hospitals network: Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Orchard), Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and Gleneagles Hospital — all located in Singapore.

This marks another important step for interventional oncology in the region, with Singapore continuing to lead the way in advancing high standards of care.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Gavearad Radiologia Vascular e Intervencionista has joined the IASIOS community, marking an important step for interventional oncology in Brazil. As the second centre in the country to enrol, its participation reflects the growing commitment to advancing high standards in IO across the region.

Under the leadership of Dr Leonardo Azevedo, the team is now working towards IASIOS accreditation — reinforcing their dedication to structured, high-quality cancer care and continuous improvement in the field.

Hospital Curry Cabral, Unidade Local de Saúde de São José in Lisbon, Portugal, has been accredited, becoming the first institution in Portugal to receive this recognition. The accreditation confirms that the hospital’s interventional oncology service line meets the highest international standards of standardisation and quality. Led by Dr Tiago Bilhim and Dr Ines Conde Vasco, the team has demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism to ensure patients receive consistent, safe, and patient-centred care throughout the accreditation process.

We are pleased to announce that Singapore General Hospital has been recognised as an IASIOS Centre of Excellence, becoming the first in Asia and only the second worldwide to achieve this distinction.

This milestone reflects the hospital’s strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred interventional oncology services, aligned with the most rigorous international standards. It also marks a significant step forward for the field, as leading institutions across Asia continue to shape the global landscape of IO practice.

Linz, Austria

Ordensklinikum Linz has joined the IASIOS community as an Enrolled Centre, becoming the first from Austria to take this step. The enrolment, led by Dr Alexander Kupferthaler, reflects a strong commitment to delivering structured, high-quality care in interventional oncology.

Their participation has been made possible through the First Year Forward Grant, which covers enrolment and first-year membership fees for centres at the beginning of the IASIOS pathway.
