The Centre of Excellence designation is the highest recognition awarded by IASIOS, confirming that Leiden University Medical Centre fulfils both the core and extended criteria of the CIRSE Standards of Quality Assurance in Interventional Oncology.

This achievement reflects the implementation of a comprehensive, well-structured interventional oncology pathway, ensuring that patient care is consistently safe, coordinated, and of the highest quality. From multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical expertise to infrastructure and radiation safety, every element of the IO service has been aligned with internationally accepted standards.
